As many of you know, my son Brandon has been racing motocross for about 10 years now. He is currently riding KTM’s for Champion Cycles and is doing really well with their help and support at an amateur level. We hope that he will be successful in reaching this next level as well in a few short years. I am reaching out to many of you as a favor to our sponsor Champion Cycles and Al Albiker. They have provided Brandon with the tools and skills to make it, when the time comes.
Looks Like we're are out for awhile. Last weekend September 20th, I wadded up pretty bad on some jumps while I was practicing at Andrews Motosports in Concord. I have done those jumps for years. The bike just slid out on the face while attempting to scrub some speed and I came up short... tossed into the weeds and then taken to the hospital by Todd Colyer.
THANKS TODD!
Take a look at the pics of my shoulder below
This is after my wreck... note my humerous bone is almost in my armpit!
This is after they reset the bone back where it belongs!
This past weekend we attended the Steel City Nationals in Export, PA. The Pro races on Saturday were awesome. James Stewart won the MX classes while breaking the record books as being only the second MX rider to have the perfect season and the only rider to accomplish the Triple Crown. Ryan Villipoto had a bad weekend in the MX Lites class and was not able to muster up the overall win to accomplish his Triple Crown goal. Ryan Dungey would get the overall victory in the MX Lites class
Brandon raced on Sunday. The track was good throughout the morning, but quickly deteriorated throughout the afternoon. Our last moto was around 7:30 at night and the track was almost unrideable with the sun blinding the faces of the jumps. In his first round of moto's, he was still dialing in the track as evident by his bad finish. Throughout the day, he consistently improved.
In the first Super Mini moto, he got a really bad start but was able to muster up to 4th place.
In the first Super Mini 2 moto, another bad start... but was able to make up much more time by being the only Super Mini to attack the Pro Triple-Double. This was an unforgiving jump and it was quite impressive to see him do the jump. In fact, I believe he got more cheers from spectators than the winner did for this accomplishment.
In the Schoolboy class, he started out with the holeshot and checked out on all the other riders. His second moto in the schoolboy class again gave him the holeshot, but another rider was able to get around him at the bottom of the first off camber hill. Brandon stumbled as the other rider passed and attempted to catch him through the three lap moto. The Pro Triple-Double at this point was too choppy to get a drive to the jump. so Brandon double, single, doubled through the section. This was almost as impressive as triple doubling as he was the only rider all weekend to be able to maneuver in this manor. The sun was blinding this late in the evening and the riders could barely see the track Brandon's line choices and speed left the two of them coming across the finish line with less than one bike between them.

Since we updated the site recently, I've been wanting to get some type of video online for people to see Brandon in Action. We have more on the way and plan on putting video blogs on regularly throughout the year. This is one I already had from Mini O's in 2007
This is me as a freshmen last year at Clover Highschool. I had long long long long hair. haha. But now it's a lot shorter. I decided that was WAY to much to keep up with and that my short hair looks better than all that because that made me look kinda like a girl.
